Suzanne Yoon

Managing Partner, Kinzie Capital Partners LLC

Suzanne Yoon is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kinzie Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on making control and minority investments in companies across North America with revenues starting at $10mm, with up to $15mm in EBITDA. Ms. Yoon has led and closed nearly $3 billion in middle market deals during her 18 years in corporate finance, capital markets, and private equity, and advised on billions of debt restructurings while in advisory services and special assets.

Prior to Kinzie, Ms. Yoon was a Managing Director of Versa Capital Management, LLC, a private equity firm where she led transaction development throughout North America. Prior to Versa, Ms. Yoon was a Senior Vice President of CIT Group, co-founded LaSalle Bank/ABNAMRO’s Corporate Restructuring Group, and held positions in distressed loan portfolio management and advisory at LaSalle Bank and Ernst and Young’s Corporate Finance Group, respectively.

Ms. Yoon serves on various boards, including as a Board Trustee and Vice Chair of the Investment Committee for the National Philanthropic Trust, and as a steering committee member of Private Equity’s Women Investor Network (PE WIN) and of the Women’s Association of Venture & Equity (WAVE).  She maintains active involvement with Turnaround Management Association, where she was a Board Trustee, and American Bankruptcy Institute, where she formerly co-chaired its Finance Committee. She is also active in Chicago community activities, including through her service on the Board of Directors for HFS Chicago Scholars, a not for profit that serves economically disadvantaged inner-city high school students. She is an Executive Scholar from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and received a BA in Economics from the University of Iowa.
