Overview
The Enginuity Group
The Enginuity Group is a small, highly specialized transaction advisory firm focused primarily on companies
providing services and products to the “built” world. That generally includes architecture, engineering,
environmental and construction, and related firms, for sell side engagements and a larger universe of
company types for buy side engagements.
The firm is quite unique in that the principals, who have been working together for several decades, do
not have traditional backgrounds from business schools or through private equity or from the traditional
investment banking sectors but building their own companies from the ground up. The companies, they
founded and grew, received several Inc 500 awards, including #9 for Hall Kimbrell Environmental Services,
which grew to be the largest environmental engineering firm in the US. Additionally, the founder and CEO
received one of three US Entrepreneur awards by President Ronal Reagan, complete with White House
Rose Garden ceremony. After spending three decades designing, launching and growing various
enterprises, during a roll up assembly in Florida, the firm was asked to assist a civil engineering firm to
find a buyer. That was the beginning of providing sell side services, and shortly afterwards began to take
on clients for specific add-on targets for private equity and related firms.
From that beginning, The Enginuity Group evolved into what it is today.
Headquartered in Lawrence, KS, in the heart of the country, it provides several professional services to
clients nationwide including:

Clients enjoy the benefits of their comprehensive sell side package. After spending decades as the buyer
for the roll ups, they saw firsthand the traditional approach employed by brokers and intermediaries. They
saw that two important elements were missing: Preparing the company for market and staying with the
company, post-closing, to assist in transition management, two of the most important elements to ensure
a smooth and high value outcome. Because they only accept a small number of sell side engagements
each year, the clients receive personalized attention at all times through the process.
On the buy side, private equity and management groups receive the benefit of their years of experience
in targeting and communicating with CEOs of private companies, that are not for sale, to engage in a
discussion to be acquired. An art that comes only from decades of hands-on experience.
